Celebrating 105 Years of Music Education in El Paso
Established in September 1921, EPMTA has supported generations of music teachers, students, and families throughout the Borderland.
During this anniversary year, EPMTA proudly celebrates Karol Garmon, selected by TMTA to represent Texas as a 2027 Fellow, and Enrique Ponce, the 2027 TMTA Composer of the Year.
Mission Statement
The El Paso Music Teachers Association (EPMTA) is a local affiliate of the Texas Music Teachers Association and the Music Teachers National Association. The purpose of MTNA is to advance the value of music study and music-making to society and to support the professionalism of music teachers. Monthly programs and business activities are designed to help our local teachers. In addition, many student activities are available for student participation throughout the year.
